If there had been a Higgs particle or a true tree of life…

If there had been a Higgs particle or a true tree of life, then “wave” would have equaled “particle”, and our distinction of them would thus have been wrong.

If particle physicists and cladists are right, they are thus wrong.

Shared between particle physicists and cladists is the peculiar idea that we can solve our problems by conflating what we distinguish – just as if the solution of a problem is to deny the problem.

This recipe does indeed solve any problem theoretically, but is not practically useful, since it actually denies things in a generic sense.
